Airpods Pro vs AirPods (3rd generation)

Apple's AirPods (3rd generation)—also known as the AirPods 3—were released as a less expensive alternative to the AirPods Pro, which means it's time to play Pick Your Pods! Apple's standard AirPods have received a slew of upgrades that bring them much closer to the massively popular AirPods Pro.

At its initial release in October of 2019, the original AirPods Pro have fallen well below their $249 MSRP.  They have, however, become more difficult to locate, which is why we are now linking to the most recent AirPods Pro.

The AirPods 3's main attraction is their slimmer and trimmer design. The latest AirPods with a shorter stem bearing and a Force Sensor for controls, look a lot like the AirPods Pro. To be honest, it's difficult to tell the difference at first glance.
